There aren't many differences between an RV park and a campground besides the fact that one or the other may or may not allow tent camping or RV camping. An RV Resort on the other hand will have many more amenities to offer you, such as a pool, gym, boats, events, and more.

Each RV park will be different when it comes to RV parking space sizes and drivability. It is important that when you are booking an RV park that you make sure your RV meets their size restrictions. While looking for RVs for sale and before you purchase a vehicle to pull it, you should know that the average national park RV length restriction is 27 feet. Some parks allow Class A motorhomes as long as 40 feet while others have a restricting 20 feet limit. Private-owned RV parks will have the most flexibility as far as having a 42+ foot long RV and can accommodate you and your RV and vehicle better.
